I don't really have a local shop. I do 99% of my own work, and the local 'performance bike' shop is oob. There are two other places with 20min, one of which has deep roots, and I purchased my sons bmx there. I am disinterested in 'modern' bikes in general, so most shops do not do much for me. I see more eye candy on line. There is a boutique high end place about 30 min away, but the finances are out if my league.
There is a 531 dawes with weinnman center pulls that is abandoned in an all aroud rei type store with a bike dept. It has a repair ticket and old rear der taped to it in a ziplock. I want to make them an offer, or at least express interest.
