There’s another MUP by my house that’s a complete **** show.
Most paths in my area are separated, or at least divided by lanes, for foot and bicycle traffic. In the more popular areas, like around some of the chains of lakes, they're still a **** show and you should expect that you'll need to slow to the 10mph limit pretty regularly to navigate traffic and not run over little kids, dogs, etc. In other, more remote sections, they're sometimes the best thoroughfares to get to more desirable roads.
Because the paths are pretty okay, 'specially at noodling speeds, I think that a lot of cyclists in the area never graduate from them and a lot of non-cyclists don't understand why you would want to venture off of them. A shame.
