Never heard of that praxis crank, could be junk or great, but its a better range for me when coupled with the max range cassette that drivetrain can handle.

You will not spin out on the '16 gear range. 48/11 will be used on downhills only pretty much.
Personally, i would benefit from the climbing gearing on the '16 both on steep paved roads and gravel climbs.

...seems steep either way for Tiagra drivetrain and Spec wheelset? Maybe im being stingy. If you like em, go ride.
Diverge's are priced on the high side (over priced), IMHO... I bought a 2015 in the spring and got an incredible deal on it (too good to pass up!)... it was a fantastic bike though...
