I agree. The Richmond course was pretty flat. But the weather was awful and they did do some drafting. I'll go back and find the bike time the CD had at Clemson. That was not a draft race and the course had some elevation change, but not a lot.
No need. But as a reference I think the last Olympic tri I did my bike speed was around 22MPH on a flat course (no drafting) and I think my run pace was somewhere around 8:30/mile for 10K, also flat. Next weeks event is hilly for both the bike and run so I suspect my times will be slower.
