I think the team mechanics dilute the tubular glue to make it easier to apply, which would make it liquid enough to use a condiment bottle to dispense. With what I don't know, but I can't think of anything that wouldn't reduce how well the glue works.
I'm not a chemist, so don't try this, but my first guess would be some sort of thing with a low vapor pressure so once applied it quickly evaporates leaving just the glue.
