It's funny to realize that bike brakes were nearly perfected over 50 years ago.
Now, there's a thought.
I recently built a bike with 40-year old CLB GL side-pull brakes, and they are
so good - even with the original pads - that suddenly the development of dual-pivot brakes seemed a waste of effort.
