Are there longer cage derailleurs that would allow you to have a longer chain?

I think I remember there are differences in Campagnolo pull ratios between speeds, so I don't know a cool looking 6 speed Campagnolo RD is replaceable for a shorter cage, or not quite as cool looking 8 speed...
