I used to run 5 to 15 miles a day 5 or so days a week many years ago to stay in shape for road racing and had a lot of trouble with my nipples getting raw. Didn't matter what shirt I had on, how long I did it; they never toughed up. I finally just put band-aids over them before each run. Worked like a charm. I little tough on the hair early on, but give it a week or two and you'll yank all the hair in the area off and it wont be an issue any more.
