Well, sorry about the knee but glad I could help out a fellow Minnesotan (former in my case) pass the time with a pointless argument.

Now onto the important point--are the gnats as bad in Minnesota this year as they have been in New England? I haven't swallowed this many bugs in decades. It's enough for me to want a helmet for my mouth.
