Geeze, I thought I was doing good with my AZ bike (bought to ride while visiting Mom twice/yr).
'86 Miyata 710. Original components, just needed a rear tire for $130.
As bought, but new rear tire/saddle/seat bag
After replacing BOTH tires, shifters changed to barcons, bar tape, new dual-pivot brakes, new cables...
Now that mom is gone, I have no need to have an AZ bike, so I shipped it home to Ohio.
That said, I have several trash-picked bikes. Just cheap MTB BSOs that I'll ride to the corner store.
If they were to get stolen, the most I would be out is the newer tires... My good rides never leave my sight!
