Finally got my new Di2 8050 GS on and mounted...just in time for it to be evil outside. Pbbbbbt

A few observations:
A) That Shadow tech really does hide the RD much more inboard and safer from tips/crashes
B) The cable port gets situated a bit further away, so more e-tube cable slack is needed
C) The cage is a bit longer....That big/big crosschain sizing I should probably size my chain up a link or two next time.
D) Shimano added a bunch of gearing lockouts with this RD compared to 6870. 53/39 cranks are limited to 2 multishifts, whereas 50/34 have 3. 53/39 cranks have more Full-Synchro shift options (both gearing shift points and the cross-chain limit can be deactivated), whereas 50/34 has fewer (the downshift off the 50 is locked at the penultimate cog, and the cross-chain stopper is locked on).
E) The B-screw is much longer with more threads. Stop screws come retail almost completely backed out, stop screws also feel more firm in their threads
F) The mounting is a bit funny compared to 6870, check the 8050 Dealer's Manual Page 44 for details.
G) The jockey pulley wheel is much more tooth-y relative to the 6870.
Will play more in e-tube....when it isn't 0F out in the garage. BRRRRRRRRRRRR.
