I personally use bar end friction shifters on my 6 speed s
The “Audax” version of these comes without the friction shift levers. It simply comes with the braze-on posts that let you use your own shifters (with the flat backing plates). Since you want to keep your bike original, that would be the one to get since Dura Ace 7400 s.i.s. rear indexing is going to work best with your specific 7400 rear derailleur and indexed shift levers. You are running your 6 speed freewheel in indexed mode, yes?
