212 N. 12th Street, former home of Sigma Sound Studios, which put out some of the greatest American music ever. The O'Jays, Billy Paul, The Intruders, Harold Melvin & the Blue Notes, Laura Nyro & LaBelle (Yes. Patti LaBelle, before she was famous.), Three Degrees, just to name a few. Even the Jacksons and David Bowie recorded there. Often backed up by members of the Philadelphia Orchestra and others, collectively called MFSB.
