Price similar, I'd go Bombtrack and get a set of 700c wheels for road. But they are in a different price class really, since Jamis is a mass market, non-boutique brand, and resellers often have deep discounts on them. I got my 2018 Escapade with full hydro Ultegra on clearance for less than Bombtrack frameset alone costs and it has been great, especially with a 11x40 cassette and Ultegra RX RD upgrades, which along with 50x34 up front made it a do it all bike that I have enjoyed riding on road, gravel, and tame singletrack. It does fit 650x47, but I haven't seen a compelling reason to do so, except on muddy terrain, which you might see a lot more of up in Portland.
