You sure said it. I really really love the built in cable stops. I'm excited to start fabricating my own threadless stems with integrated stops. The only information on this quill stem is that it is an SR 22.2 from Japan. They were very popular on early 80's mtb/atb and I keep an eye out and pick them up whenever I see one for a decent price. Some people refer to them as "golf club head" stems, but you wont get many google hits on that. I found a link to one here

I've seen a few of these out there that are 0.833 (21.1) so if you do find one just double check to make sure it works for your project.
