Replace Al fork on 93 Trek 2200 Composite?

Hello all, i've recently started riding my 2200 composite trek more. It's one of trek's first forays into the Carbon tubing world. It's an aluminum frame with carbon main tubes and an aluminum fork. I was thinking of replacing the stock fork with an aftermarket carbon fork? I'm not trying to save weight as much as just increase ride quality. I love the bike and the fit but i'm just curious to see if there is anything i can do to improve it?
here she is in her latest form.. sorry for the NDS pic
