I bought this Motobecane Messenger almost 5 years ago, and it's gone through a lot of changes since then. I changed out literally every part except the bottom bracket and front brake caliper, transforming it into the infamous naranja. Recently, I stripped it down and transferred everything to a new Leader Cretin frameset. Many of the original parts found their way onto a crappy Vilano frameset that was several sizes too large for me, so I decided to strip the Vilano and transfer those parts back to the MM along with some parts bin stuff to create a practical beater / lockup / utility fixed gear bike. I spent an additional $100 on some tougher tires, a bullhorn handlebar and rear rack. The gearing is 48 x 19 for about 67 gear inches and the total weight with accessories is 23.3 lbs.
