Oh yeah man. Been on Gandy Dancer in that part, started my 4-day from Taylors Falls to Superior, Duluth and back last year. Fell in love with cyclotouring.

I did a very nice solo circle tour in mid April 2016, from Mpls to Brule, WI, to Hayward, WI and then back west to home. Some very nice roads, including Hwy 23 in MN and Hwy 27 in WI. The Gandy Dancer Trail from Danbury to St Croix Falls was also nice. It would be a great route in the autumn as well.
