Term GAS exists in every hobby. I had it for guitars and amps, photography equipment, motorcycles, now guitars.
My only advantage is that I'm a minimalist so it never gets too out of hand. I keep 1 or 2 best things instead of getting tons of gear.
I also sell everything once I'm over that hobby.
