I did my first touring on a canti bike.
It can be done w/o having a suicidal streak.
There were two things I actively didn’t like.
setting up smooth posts can be tedious and frustrating. I also did some bad-weather descents where the cold and rain cooperated both to weaken my hands AND the available braking power.
Not an ideal situation.
The rest of the time, they did well enough.
