Sturmey archer aw oil cap - does it float?
So this is a strange question that maybe a handful of people can answer but does your plastic sturmey archer aw hub oil cap float? The oil cap is "closed" if that matters.
I bought a new replacement oil cap and dropped it down the sump cover while trying to corral it through 40 spokes. Long story short this had resulted in a series of unfortunate events including a pump blowing water on the wall and a cut pipe but I can stop digging in the sand in my sump if it does indeed float and put my efforts to look elsewhere.
It has been one of those days.
