Any Raleigh Sports predating the early 60's have double ended brake cables with the exact fixture you need. The cable adjuster has greater range than the one you're showing. I can look for one for you if you're not in a hurry? Other brake cables have the same setup.
Yeah, except: he wants one for a Gitane so...METRIC. I had just the bit stashed away and every so often I bump into it but no telling how long before I can actually find that again! If somebody else gets you one grab it...IIRC they have a "star" lock washer on them.
