The fresh hell is no water (though we have a few days' worth for drinking from jugs and bottles we had purchased for road trips back in those days). Roads are largely impassable. If we have no burst pipes, which knock on wood seems the case now, we will high-tail it to Lubbock for at least the weekend when it's above freezing consistently.

Lubbock is not on the main Texas electrical grid.
