I have completed Challenge #2 of at least one 1,000 km month, the first time since April 2016! I rode 1,013 km in April, with one day left in the month.

I don't commute and do very few rides of more than 5 km during weekdays. It's virtually impossible for me to collect 1,000 km in a month without at least one 400 km ride. Last time I did one 400 km brevet and a training ride of similar length, as well as other rides. This month I did a Fleche (366 km in 24 hours, plus the ride home) and three non-brevet centuries with distances of 165-205 km.

The final century was a visit to several waterfalls in the mountains west of Tokyo, my 12th century ride this year (on Strava, with pictures).
