ALWAYS do this... Recently on the Appalachian Trail near Unicoi Tn. there was a man threatening people with a machete. He was located and arrested. They held him on minor charges and let him go because the people opted to not press charges. Several days ago he killed someone in Virginia on the AT. We might be able to fend off an attack, but someone less capable might be hurt or violently assaulted.
