tallbikeman, I keep thinking a recumbent trike is in my future, but that is certainly is a future plan... I'm certainly hoping to keep injuries at a minimum for a change.
I'm a terrible example of a bike hoarder. Years ago, I had a rotating collection that was in excess of 20... I kept only 1 of that collection, my 1986 KHS Fiero. It was my first real adult bike. And is probably staying forever. Yes, I've gathered a couple bikes lately. But no real plans for any more bikes. I did donate a MTB tht was too small to the bike collective the other day. And the Schwinn hybrid my daughter has been using is coming home, I hope to see if my grand daughter can use it. She is quite tall for a 9 year old. If it doesn't fit, it will before long! Daughter wanted a roadbike, and I helped her find one. She is in LOVE with it, a 1998 Schwinn Passage aluminum frame, 3x7 RSX drivetrain.
Thanks brotherman!!! It has been a tough journey. I hated needing BP meds, Glad I'm off them now. BP yesterday morning was actually low. 94/53 HR 61... I've checked my home wrist cuff against a home health nurse's professional cuff. Close enough for me. And, bluetooth enabled. I would say the best shape of my life was in the 225 to 230 range, but that was 25 years ago.
Originally I was the scrawny kid. Weighed 150 to 155 from age 13 to almost 21. I had 28xl pants issued in Navy bootcamp, and they needed a belt. I got married, and the weight climbed slowly, but held at 225-230 for several years. I hot 240 though as I retired from the Navy, 18 years ago. Then, it was off the charts... Yeah. I more than doubled my weight over the years... At the present time, I can't imagine being under 200. Last 2 times I was, I wasn't comfortable in my skin. It just wasn't right... SO, we will see after I get to 240...
