As a person virtually incapable of keeping records, Strava My Gear actually works for me. It's really the only way I know how well disposables like chains and tires have been holding up, or when my cassettes are getting near the end of their lives. Also neat to see non-wear components like seatposts rack up the miles. My Thomson Elite now has 22,258 miles on it.
