I had a rough time in the middle of the night on a 600k, and just couldn’t understand why I suddenly started making sharp turns in the middle of the road every few minutes. Finally, I realized that I simply was falling asleep on my bike, and that I was just awake enough to turn sharply to avoid falling over when I stopped turning the pedals and slowed down. The sudden turning woke me up, and after a few minutes it all happened again.
45 minutes of sleep at a bus stop in the middle of nowhere fixed the problem.
