I don't think one density fits all, not even within the same model of bibs. Hopefully bib manufacturers would know to increase pad density for larger sizes for chubby people like me.
Like you say, one density doesn't fit all. I'm 242lbs (as of this morning...jfc) and I prefer a way less dense Chamois. Can't stand the overly thick ones. Less dense and not as wide (too wide a Chamois bunches up and causes sores).
