One of my "boys" is killing me!

Today I decided to upgrade my cycling shorts. I had been using Pearl Izumi Quest with just a chamois pad. I bought the new Micro-sensor shorts with the 3-D pad. About 13 miles into my ride, I noticed that my left "boy" was hurting . Re-adjustment seemed not to help. I cut the ride short at 25 miles.

I know that the pad seems to come up much further around the "twins" than my other pad and I think there was extra pressure being applied there. My question is: Has anybody else noticed this when using the 3-D Pad?
