Good call on the chain ring! But if it's a Schwinn chainring (AS&CO) it appears to be on backwards.

Looks like original paint and wood rims, all in good shape. Quite a find.

I don't recall having seen those lugs on a Schwinn; but certainly on other track bikes of the era, Drysdales, Brennan, etc.
