Sun EZ rider AX suspension

How do you adjust it? I see the thumbscrew, but the manual only says (this model has a suspension) and does not indicate which way to adjust to make it firmer or looser.

Also, Here is my bike. I picked it up used today from an elderly woman that had gotten it a few years ago to supplement her trikes but no matter what she did she could not get it to quite fit her. She gave me an amazing deal on it. All work done through a local bike shop that specializes in recumbents over other bikes that they sell. (Denny LaDue, Used Bike Shop- I know he has some designs out there that he used to sell for home-grown recumbents, and seems to be rather known in local and regional cycling circles).
