Prepping to ride STP (Seattle to Portland) in one day, need to tweak some gear.
My Rapha Classic bibs haven't been cutting it after 80 miles so I'm giving Assos a try. Ordered Assos T.cento_s7 bibs, SS.skinFoil_spring baselayer, and Thermic Socks (cheap throw-in) from Swiss Iconic, should be delivered tomorrow (were supposed to be delivered last Friday, would have been nice to try on my Saturday 160 mile training ride).
Also going to try tubeless, though maybe not in time for STP. Have Schwalbe Pro One tubeless tires, DT Swiss tubeless valves, and Orange Seal Endurance sealant on the way. Also a new mini-pump just in case.
Heard having a tighter cassette would be good for STP since the route is mostly flat, so I ordered a 105 level 12-25 cassette and chain plus a couple SRAM powerlock connectors.
Finally, not necessarily for STP but just taking advantage of CRC's 10% off sale, ordered a Stolen Goat jersey and a pair of Marathon Plus Tour 26" tires for my tandem.
