Been around 40F here the past few days and looks like it's going to hold for at least the next week. I rode three days in a row for I don't know how long. Wednesday I rode to the Loop to check out the Navy Pier Flyover. The last segment (over the Chicago River) is finally complete. Not a very picturesque photo but the completion of this stretch is significant for bikies and pedestrians of all stripes.
Yesterday I headed back north up Sheridan Road. I could see how blue Lake Michigan looked as I passed the various side streets, so I stopped at Tower Road Park to take a look. Unfortunately, we still have ginormous piles of snow and ice on the shoreline, so the lake itself is a bit obscured at lake level. I did snap one shot looking back to the Bahá'í Temple in Wilmette. I guess the shot at lake level also reduced the blue effect. No matter. I'm just happy to be back out spinning the cranks.
