There is quite a lot being written these days on that very subject, hot spells being hotter and lasting longer, stormy seasons being stormier and so on and so forth for all the possible calamities. A good read about this a a book by Richard Leakey, an anthropologist just like his Mom and Dad. The book is entitled "The Sixth Extinction". The more immediate consequences are flooding, desertification and such. The longer term consequences are more conflicts and vast migrations which we already see in the numbers of Africans heading to EU countries and other similar migrations in other areas.
