There's another thread going about hitch racks. You could see if there is a class II hitch available for the Civic, which would be good for up to 3 bikes. If only a class I hitch is available, you're limited to 2 bikes. This is much more expensive than buying a strap-type trunck rack, but there are some compelling reasons to do it.
