I think "endurance" geometry, fat tires and mainstream adoption of easy gearing have solved some of the problems that pointed folks toward recumbents even a few years ago. Now, if someone needs a 'bent they'll likely go all the way to the stability of a trike. That's my plan for whenever it becomes necessary
