I was in the ER recently for headaches, and after the nurse took my BP she calmly went about her business. I had to ask what the reading was. She calmly replied 188/90.
I was like (to myself) "Whoa, shouldn't you raise an eyebrow or something? Isn't this a problem? Shouldn't I lay down or something"? She replied, still calmly, BP is often elevated when patients are in pain.
Yeah, but still . . . seems to me she's been working in the ER too long. lol
