When you program it to shift as you hold the lever and such, I buy it. I have 8070 shifters, the latest battery, and 6770 front and rear derailleurs. Plug and play, as you say. When I go 11 speed, I'll change my cassette, both derailleurs, set the limit screws, and be on my way.
