Not caring about what was accomplished on a ride other than having enjoyed the ride (hopefully) is great. If one's goal is to get out and ride a ride, I think that is pure bliss. Not for mileage, not for elevation, not for speed, not for time spent on the saddle or standing, not for more than someone else did or what one's self had previously done.
