I thought I read that Uber dropped their bike courier service. Have you verified that this is all current?

Riding a bike on the road isn't the same as a road bike. Road bikes, of course, can tear up mountain roads.

You might sit back and define your needs for comfort, distance, and speed. They may not all be compatible. But, if you're hitting > 60 miles a day on a regular basis, then you may start emphasizing speed and efficiency.

Thus looking at a road bike.

$200 is a pretty tight budget for anything less than 20 years old, but there are plenty of good bikes in the 20 to 40 year old range (thus made in the 1970's, 1980's, or 1990's), and they would make good all around utility road bikes.
