When I was in Italy for a couple of weeks of riding in 2013 there was a guy on a group road ride. He was riding a MTB with...wait for it...No fork and thus, obviously, no front wheel. Understandably, he was relegated to the rear of the group, but he was keeping up. Really wished I could have gotten my camera out in time as the passed heading in the other direction. Our host, who has been running the Italian Cycling Center for a long time told us that there was a local who used to climb Monte Grappa that way.
