Riding over leaves or any other low friction surface you need to slow down before entering the turn. How much depends on a lot of factors, but caution is advisable. While blasting through dry leaves that accumulate on the street is fun (I'm in my 50s and it is just as much fun as it was when I was 10) they can hide branches, road debris, potholes, grates and other evils. Wet leaves can be a slick as ice. Asking how fast you can corner on them is like asking how fast you can take a corner on a decent. The answer lies in the details and will be different for every encounter.
Wasn't me, but thanks for the sympathy! My friend fractured his femoral neck after hitting a patch of sand at the apex of a corner on a training ride, that's not his x-ray either but he had some hardware put in there.
