I thought I was going to finish up my 1992 Trek 950 but ran into a problem as the pulley needed to make the FD work (cables run on the top tube and this is a bottom pull FD) has gone MIA,

I'll need to make a command decision on whether to continue with a bottom pull FD or go with a top pull and mount a cable stop on the seatube. I'm leaning towards getting a cheap Altus FD with dual pull and a cable stop since that will give me cleaner cable routing than sticking with a bottom pull FD and a pulley.
