I would prefer to have all of that crap getting washed down the shower drain, and not hiding out on my skin and in my pores underneath (un-aerodynamic) body hair.
The hair on your legs would catch all that filth and suspend it in the hairs rather than allow it all to absorb into your glistening skin through your open pores.
