When caloso says "some" climbing, he means it's a climbers race especially for multiple laps. Threshold length climb near the start of the lap, but after a couple times of that the climbers just have so much more left to give. The worst pavement is on the climb and the descent at the end of the lap. The descent hurts your hands it's so bad.
