I went up to Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park today to beat the heat down in the lower elevations. The “sensations” as the racers say weren’t good but felt a little stronger towards the end. I guess it showed as I was cooling off in a shady spot, a lady in. Sprinter camper I had passed earlier, pulled over, hopped out and gave me an orange. She said “it looks like you could use this”. She hopped back in and drove off. It did help a lot and I rode stronger for the last 15 miles.



Turk Mountain overlook. I rode plastic today because the legs needed every edge available.
