To be honest, this was debated a few pages back (and I was too lazy to read all of it). From what I gathered: not having a spacer and having one spacer both provide benefits. Riding it for a while with one or two spacers above isn't terrible.

I've been riding mine with two 5mm spacers on top (initial sizing put 1 spacer on top - I moved another on top to move to a lower position).
