Just in general, I'm not providing 100% of the propulsion so I am 'cheating' in their eyes. The guy that rode me most about it is in his 20's (I'm nearing 60), He is the guy that got the most pissed at me when I fall behind on the hills.

You cant win with this guy. Hes not many things, but most of all not a friend to anyone. He is the enemy in the group. A pill. A vermin.
Do your thing. There is no where for him to go, but to be a better person. Witness the transition.
