I built up one for a long ride I was doing to next town over; I don't do that ride anymore, and actually haven't been using e-bike this year as I've been enjoying my road bike, but it's good to have. I converted my Trek hybrid and built my own lithium battery pack--though I'd suggest probably just to buy one already assembled. The only negative I have encountered is if for whatever reason the bike stops running on power you've got to pedal the extra weight of the electric motor and battery pack which can be a real drag.
